Plain English

The short version: we collect only what we need to write back to you, and we don't share it.

This page explains what personal information The Jason Cale Band (Jason Cale Music LLC) collects when you use this website, and what we do with it. Last updated 2026-05-16.

What we collect

Mailing list: when you sign up, we store the email address you give us so we can send updates about tour dates, new releases, and merch drops. That’s it. We use Buttondown as the backend.

Contact form: when you write in via the contact form, we store the name, email, message, and any optional fields you fill out so we can reply. The submission goes to jason@jasoncalemusic.com.

We don’t ask for anything else, and we don’t try to identify you across other sites.

Cookies and tracking

We don’t set tracking cookies. The site uses no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, and no cross-site identifiers. If we ever add analytics, this page will say so and the data will stay aggregate.

Third-party services

A few features hand off to outside services so they work at all:

  • Fourthwall runs the merch shop. When you click a product, you leave this site and land on Fourthwall, which has its own privacy policy.
  • Bandsintown feeds tour data into the /shows page. We read events from their public API; we don’t send them anything about you.
  • YouTube serves the embedded video player on /videos. YouTube may set its own cookies when the player loads.
  • Buttondown handles mailing list subscriptions and delivery.

How long we keep things

Mailing list addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe (every email has a one-click unsubscribe link). Contact form messages are kept in our inbox the same way any email correspondence is.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send. To request a copy of what we have, or to have it deleted, just write in via the contact form and we’ll take care of it.

Questions

Anything unclear, or you want to raise something we should know about, write in via the contact form.
